Thanksgiving at Disneyland!

We spent Thanksgiving this year at the "Happiest Place on Earth" in California. Makena's grandparents wanted to take her to Disneyland and take the train out to California. Nathaniel and I decided we wanted to go too, minus the train ride. So, we flew out with Marshall and had a great time. The park was decorated for Christmas and we got to see the Christmas parade. Makena was possessed little girl trying to find all the characters to get their autographs. We will have to get Pluto next time! Don't we all look happy here? :) Makena was feeling the effects of no nap.

Makena loved anything that spinned, was outdoors, and if she went up in the air, it was even better. Her favorite ride was the Tea Cups.

Marshall was the best baby there! We will definitely owe him a Disney trip when he gets bigger.

My Little Pirates

Makena and Marshall were both pirates this year. I figured it was my only time I could try to get them coordinating costumes. These are pictures from an awesome Halloween party that one of my friends had. We had a great time!

Trip To the Farm

We went on our annual trip to Sweetberry Farm in Marble Falls this past weekend. We tried to get there before it started raining. The weather was great and we had lots of fun. Plus, we had special visitors with us: Nana, Papa, and Aunt Amanda!

Marshall at 1 Month

Double Jogger

We have been using the double jogger for a few weeks now. Makena is my new personal trainer. She wakes me up every morning, ready to go for a walk and always wants to go up the big hills. Makena loves to see all the kids walking to school in the morning and packs lots of special items to bring with her.

First Family Outing

This is the same girl who cried through two months of swim lessons and wouldn't get her face wet. She now has no fear of the water and wore her dad out having him throw her in the air over and over and over.

I was starting to get a little stir crazy being in the "bubble" with Marshall. So, on Saturday we took both kiddos and went to Grandma and Grandpa's house in Dripping Springs. It met Nathaniel's approval for germ exposure, so I got a little trip out and Makena got to swim, ride the jeep and play in her playhouse. She loves it over there and never wants to leave.

He's Here!

Marshall Stephen Hammond arrived on Thursday, August 6 at 6:13 PM.

He weighed in at 8 lbs. 5 oz. and is 21 inches long. His sister had him beat on weight by about 3 ounces. I was induced on Thursday and

everything went great. One of our friends had this lovely surprise in our front yard when we came home yesterday. Makena thought the stork was the greatest thing since she got her playscape in the yard.

Marshall or Ryan???

Okay, so tomorrow is the day we get to meet our new little guy, that is if he doesn't arrive tonight and the hospital is not too full for an induction. They (the doctors) have been telling me for the past two weeks that he should be here by my next appointment, yet he hasn't arrived! Without giving out too much personal information, labor should have already started by now with everything else that is going on.

Now we need to choose a name, which at this point, I am still clueless. Makena has been calling him Chuck or Bubba for awhile. She thinks it is hilarious. Our other two real contenders are Marshall Stephen or Ryan Michael. He may not have a name for a few days, that is sad, but I just can't decide.

We will keep you posted when he gets here!

Big Sister Baby Shower

Nathaniel's office hosted a Big Sister Baby Shower last week for Makena. It was really sweet of them to host this for Makena. She loved every minute of it and didn't mind opening the presents one bit.

More Cousin Fun on the Way

My sister and I are both pregnant with our second babies and both boys, just two months apart. Hopefully, the boys will be having as much fun together as their sisters.

Cousin Fun

Makena got to spend some time with her cousin Anna at Nana's house. These two girls have so much fun together and are inseparable, which can be good and bad! They always love to play with their Aunt Amanda and Uncle Andy too.

Kite Festival

Makena has become quite the kite flyer. Not sure, if that is a real term, but she loves to fly kites and can surprisingly keep them in the air for a lot longer than me. So, this year, we went to the Zilker Kite Festival with Nana, Papa, Alicia, and Anna. It was fun and the girls got to try out the Sit n Stand stroller, which was a hit!
