Cousin Fun

Makena got to spend some time with her cousin Anna at Nana's house. These two girls have so much fun together and are inseparable, which can be good and bad! They always love to play with their Aunt Amanda and Uncle Andy too.

Kite Festival

Makena has become quite the kite flyer. Not sure, if that is a real term, but she loves to fly kites and can surprisingly keep them in the air for a lot longer than me. So, this year, we went to the Zilker Kite Festival with Nana, Papa, Alicia, and Anna. It was fun and the girls got to try out the Sit n Stand stroller, which was a hit!

Okay, in case you didn't notice. Makena is going to be Big Sister. That's right, baby number 2 is due August 8. Sorry that I haven't posted anything in awhile. I have been going to bed super early and Nathaniel is usually working or studying on the computer and that hasn't left me much time to get on. Makena seems to be excited. She keeps telling everyone that Mommy has a baby in her belly and that she has a monster in her tummy.

Thanksgiving

We went to Flower Mound for Thanksgiving this year. Although we didn't run in the official turkey trot this year, Nathaniel organized an "Around the Block" Turkey Trot. Makena came in first place.

Dino Land

We went to see the Dino Land exhibit while it was here at Zilker Park. Makena is really into dinosaurs. We can't figure it out, but she likes things that scare her. Anyway, she really enjoyed seeing all the dinosaurs, as long as they were behind the ropes!
